We had a great week! It included a birthday party for our friend Tori, a few walks outside, Jonathan's 28th birthday, lots of reading, lots of laughing and lots of cuddling. Oh, and an appearance from Batman. Enjoy the pictures of our exciting week!!

Phin trying spinach; not sure if he really likes it, but he eats it.

Asher on Sunday morning waiting to go to church. He wakes up too early on Sundays because he's excited to go to Sunday School, but he an hardly stay awake while he's waiting to leave.

Our boys on a wagon ride. They both really like to be outside.

We think that Phinny has the most beautiful blue eyes.

Papa and Nana bought Phin this little pirate onsie in Seattle. It's really cute!!

Asher has done this several times when reading his "big boy" books. He sits on the very edge of the couch and hasn't fallen off even once.

Phin has the cutest smile now that he has teeth!

Our week ended with an exciting visit from Batman! Asher found this mask and cape in a box of Jonathan's stuff on our bedroom floor. I thought he looked hilarious. And even better yet, we were working on some potty training and Asher was in his Batman t-shirt and striped undies. So funny!!

Iowa vs. ISU 17 - 3

Yup, we lost. Stinkers!! We were really hopeful that we would beat the Hawks today. We dressed our boys in Cyclone apparel and taught Asher to shout: "Beat the Hawks! Beat the Hawks! Beat the Hawks! Go Clones!!!" Asher ended up taking a nap half way through the game (I guess listening to it on the radio isn't very interesting to a toddler). We're hoping that the Cyclones will continue to do well this year in spite of today's defeat.

Picture of Micah, Jonathan's oldest brother, and me taken last weekend in Sac City.

Lickin' the Bowl

Asher has come to enjoy the fine art of licking the bowl. This time it's chocolate pudding. Next time...cake batter? He dreams of the day he can again savor the tasty morsels left over in the mixing bowl.

St. Luke's Mini Reunion

We had a great time last weekend in Sac City with some "old" friends from St. Luke's College. It was great to see "the girls" again and I was surprised at the reality of 16 people meeting in the park. Four friends with husbands and each with two kids. (It's amazing how fast that adds up!) We had a chance to catch-up, reminisce, and watch our husbands and kids play together. It really was a great time. And Sac City turned out to be a great location. Check out pictures of the day and see how our friendship (and families) have really grown!
