All Snug In Their Beds

Wow! January has been a cold month, with the exception of the last three days. It's blowing snow here today with -20 degree wind chill. So, snug in my bed is a great option, but not likely. It's a busy household with two little boys and one big boy. There have been many exciting things that have happened this month (check out the next two entries for pics of Phin and Asher).

The end of 2007 was the death of our fridge. So Jonathan found a used fridge on CraigsList and January 1st he went to check it out. It's a great "new" fridge and it now sits in our kitchen hosting all our food.
Our good friends, Tim and Wendy were married on January 5th. It was a beautiful ceremony and the reception was a lot of fun. Asher really enjoyed dancing and all the little girls wanted to dance with him. It was cute. He's just a little dancing machine!

On January 15, we went to the Des Moines hockey game with Brent and Sue. Asher had to stay home, but Phin goes where his meal goes, so he went along. It was fun. We got tickets that allowed us access to the restaurant in the arena. The food was good and the game was fun.
Jonathan's family came for Christmas on January 19-20. We played games, opened gifts, ate and had wonderful fellowship. It's nice when we can all be together. The little kids had fun swimming and hanging out together.

Asher and Phin have become good friends. Half the time, Asher doesn't even notice that Phin is around. Asher is just a busy guy with lots to do!Last Saturday, January 26, we hosted a Murder Mystery Party. It was 70's themed and it was a lot of fun. I think we had more fun dressing up and eating fondue and drinking Tang than we did with the game. It's always fun to dress up!(Manny Baritone, Brady Bunsch, Vinny V. Divichi, Knight Feva)

We've started the year off with a bang and I'm sure the fireworks will continue all year long!
