Dressing Up

Here are some pictures from October 29th, beggars night in Ames. I hadn't really thought of taking them out trick-or-treating because of their plague-like cough but when the Henderson's invited us over we thought it would be fun. The Hendersons live in a great neighborhood and it was a lot of fun to meet neighbors while passing out candy. And the boys had a fun time walking around in their costumes with Dad. They wear some kind of costume almost everyday anyway so they might as well score some candy. ;)

I got Asher's costume from my mom last year after Halloween. She got it at a 2nd-hand store for about $3. It has a button on it that makes revving sounds and lights up. He wears it around the house a lot. And Phin's "costume" arrived in the mail that day. My mom found and ISU football jersey and jogging pants at a 2nd-hand store. After I had him try it on, he wouldn't take it off so I put a sweatshirt underneath and that became his costume. ;)

Asher is a Lightning McQueen race car driver.
Phin is an Iowa State football player.

Here they are at the neighbor's house with George the Skeleton.

Showing off their loot.
