We've been getting ready for the new baby. Just rearranging furniture and purging stuff to Good Will. Asher helped me get things ready. He was my little duckling all day long, following me from room to room.
Asher's also been outside a lot. (Not lately because it's back in the 90's.) But, last week, Dad took him to the park that's in our neighborhood and they did some swinging. And he loves to throw the ball around. Asher's vocabulary is growing as well. He can even say "ball" now. It's fun teaching him new stuff and having him watch your mouth so closely when he's listening to you teach him a new word.
On August 30th, we went to our first ISU football game vs. Kent State. We lost the game, but it was a lot of fun and the weather was perfect. I think it was 70 degrees or a little lower when we left the game. It was great. We live in a great spot to go to games because we can just walk. Plus, they raised the price of parking from $5 to $15 for the tailgators (sp?). So, we were happy to walk about 2 blocks further without having to pay for parking.
And Asher has been saving for is college fund. We're not sure where college will be, but the way tuition keeps increasing, we thought we'd start saving now. It's fun watching his little fingers get more nimble.
And Jonathan is busy with the new fall semester of ministry. Main Event (the middle school ministry) starts tonight and last week Prime Time (the high school ministry) started up. It will be a fun, but busy year. You can in be in prayer for us as we juggle all the aspects of full time ministry and family.
