First of all, we are all safe. This morning we were on our own little island in Ames as there was flooding all around our neighborhood. You can check out the latest road closings in Ames on the City of Ames website. And the Des Moines Register has some pretty impressive aerial pictures of all the flooding around town. Sad to say that Target and Super Wal-Mart are under water. But our regular grocery store is fine. ;) We are safe and our home is safe. Please be praying for those who are not as fortunate.
Also, there is a boil-order for the city of Ames. The water has been shut off and when it is restored the water will not be safe to drink. The city called each home to give them the boil-order and will call again when it is safe to drink the water. For more information click on this link to KCCI.com.

Beth and I lived on the third floor of the apartments on the left.
Jonathan and I lived in a basement apartment in the apartment building right at the top of the picture - glad we're not there for multiple reasons.

The building on the bottom is where Jeremy used to live
(and Jonathan, too).
This is our new aquatic center - it's now surrounded by a lake.
Glad to see that the swimming pools still look clean.
This is our Target and Wal-Mart.
