Uncle Philip made an awesome sprinkler for the boys for our house-warming gift! It sure kept them busy as we took care of the house details. :)
We've been playing a lot of "dress-up" if you can call it that for boys. :) Here is Asher as a Native American. We ended up making them some "bows and arrows" out of sticks and a rubber band instead of a sword. :)
Jonathan and I didn't want to hog all the chaos fun of "boxes" so the boys found some fun things to do with them including a picnic. :)
Here's another interesting outfit from the costume chest. It's a Robin-Squirrel-Mexican-Cowboy-Sword-Fighter!!
Here are a few pictures of Asher's Upward evaluations. They don't really have try-outs but they evaluate how well they know the game of football. We had our first game today, so there will be more on that later. Jonathan said it was pretty fun to watch him try out all his "skills."
We took a family trip to the Science Center of Iowa. The exhibit Body Worlds Vital was there and I really enjoyed it. The boys, however, were easily bored and wanted to get to the hands-on portion of the museum so Jonathan took them and I lingered looking at the bodies (sounds morbid, but I'm still a nurse at heart). :) The boys even made it onto the Channel 13 News at Noon. They smiled and waved to all of Central Iowa.
Jonathan and I took a day trip to Ikea in MN. We took out all the seats in the van so we had more room for our loot so the boys enjoyed playing Wii in their "game chairs." :)
This is one of my favorite sites in our new home - all the boys playing Legos. They really enjoy their space in the basement and I do too. ;)
Here's my proud little boy - he just finished reading his first three books!! Bob Books are a great way to get started reading and he was so pleased with himself. :)
Here are the boys getting "tickets to jail" ready for a game they were playing. Phin used his Jonah stop sign to help enforce the law.
How fitting to end this post with more time in the sprinkler. :) We had a great summer and we are really enjoying our time in our new home.

Jessica,
It's great to get these updates from your family! The boys look so grown up in these pics. It's hard to believe that Asher (and Kaelynn) are kindergartners already. I was just looking at her scrapbook and saw the pics of our two little ones in the hospital when Kaelynn was born. My how time flies! Love to you all from North Dakota!
Loved reading about your summer and seeing pics of the kiddos. Adorable!!
