Hanging Out At Home

There hasn't been too much excitement around here lately. While Jonathan was gone one weekend, I made a quick trip to Rock Valley to support my sister purchasing an acreage. She bought it at an auction. I told her it was hard to make a bid on a house normally but to do it in front of a bunch of people would be really hard. Anyway, she got it and we're really excited for her. In the afternoon my Mom, Grandma Joyce and I took Asher to the park in Rock Valley. He had a lot of fun. It was fun to see him really enjoying the playground equipment and playing on it for real. It was great to see his smile.

At the beginning of the next week we went to the Ames High School Homecoming Parade. It was a lot of fun. Once again it was amazing to see Asher's growth since the 4th of July Parade. He really enjoyed watching the floats and getting some candy from the students. We had fun that night.
Then Jonathan was gone for another weekend and I rearranged furniture for Asher's room and the baby's room. I moved Asher into his toddler bed that weekend and he's done remarkably well. He stays in bed at night and for his morning nap, but I have a hard time getting him to take a nap in the afternoon. I know that he's tired, but he just wants to keep playing in his room. It's fun to hear him talking to himself in there or singing. He really likes to kick the wall, but we think that's a good sign because that means he's still in his bed.

The rest of these pictures are just silly pictures we've taken over the weeks. I'm sure you'll enjoy them, they're pretty cute.
