Discovery #1: HATS
Asher loves to put things on his head and say "at" (AKA hat). He always has to go into his room and look at himself in his mirror and laugh at his new "at."
Discovery #2: STUFFED ANIMALS
Asher hands me an animal, makes the noise (if he knows it) and says, "nother one?" and brings me another animal for my ever-shrinking lap. He loves to say, "nother one."
Discovery #3: TICKLE SPOTS
Asher loves the end of the day when we take off his socks and tickle his feet. He's ticklish pretty much everywhere. He will just lay on your lap and wait for more tickles. And his little giggle is priceless.
Discovery #4: LEAVES
This is the first year Asher was able to enjoy the fall foliage. We went over to Brent and Sue's house and Asher "helped" them with their leaves. He loved be pulled along in the yard with a pile of leaves. It's really sweet to watch his face grow from joy to shock as the leaves pile up around him and over him. Then he gets excited and we pull him out. It's so fun to watch his little discoveries.
Discovery #5: CRAYONS
Asher discovered the joy of coloring. He just likes to scribble with anything: pens, pencils and especially crayons. We have to watch out for our books getting written in now and have been very diligent about keeping the writing tools out of Asher's reach.
Discovery #6: HIKING WITH DAD
Asher went hiking with Jonathan to McFarland Park in Ames. The pictures that Jonathan took are great and prove that they had a wonderful time together. Asher is fascinated by all things nature and we love to watch him play outside.
