It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

We have had some "wonderful" winter weather over the last week. It's been good for the most part, but it's also been a struggle.

We had some snow and ice last week and Asher took full advantage of the warm temperature. He had a great time outside in the snow.

Asher even gave me a ride in his sled.

Then on Sunday, we had some really cold weather that caused the main water pipe into our home to freeze. So no running water until last night (Tuesday). We made due but I wouldn't want that to happen again. There was no damage to the plumbing so that was a blessing!!

Yesterday we had another 5 inches of snow. This time it was so cold that the snow was light and fluffy. It wasn't hard to scoop at all except when the wind would blow it back on the driveway again. I had the driveway cleared and then I scraped off the car...oops. I had just brushed about 4 inches of snow back onto my "clean" driveway. Good thing it wasn't heavy snow.

Phin wasn't allowed to play outside this past week. He's having surgery tomorrow morning and we need him to be healthy for that. He's having his tear duct "unclogged" around 7:30am. It should be relatively short and painless. We can't wait to have him at 100%. It's not that his eye always bothers him, but it's kind of gross and his skin gets really sore around the eye because it's wet all the time. Anyway, here are some cute pictures of Phin from this past week.

Asher say's, "Funny Phinny!"
